Michael Tribus Architecture

  • This is a renovation project in which the existing top floor was converted into an apartment.  The south wall of the staircase was demolished, and in its place was built an open glass structure.

One of the premises considered in the elaboration of the project was that of building low-energy houses. In this sense, the closure of the north side and the complete opening of the south side were planned, as well as the construction of the solar greenhouse on the east side and the positioning of the utility rooms of the sleeping area on the west side, in order to isolate them from the busy street below.

The accommodation was equipped with autonomous gas floor and wall heating. All rooms, including bathrooms, are provided with direct openings to the outside to allow air exchange.
